We’re seeking a motivated Seasonal Field Technician to support orchard operations across the Hawke’s Bay region, working with both T&G-owned orchards and independent growers. This hands-on, seasonal role plays a key part in championing fruit quality and ensuring the successful delivery of fresh pipfruit to local and global markets.
About the opportunity
As part of the NZ Field Technician team, you’ll assist with fruit maturity sampling, crop estimation, pest and disease monitoring, and quality reporting. You’ll collect and analyse key data to support decision-making across the supply chain, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the T&G Daily Management system.
You’ll gain practical orchard experience including thinning, harvest and pest management activities, support seasonal team members, and work closely with the Technical & Quality team to identify and resolve quality issues.

Interest in horticulture, orchards, or agriculture
Strong attention to detail and data collection skills
Willingness to work outdoors in a seasonal role
A collaborative, safety-focused team player
