About the Opportunity
Ready to kick off your career in the vibrant world of horticulture? We have seasonal opportunities for Lab Technicians to join our team in Nelson, where you'll learn all about the fantastic (and fruit-tastic) horticulture industry!
In this role, you’ll be collecting, preparing, and assessing fruit maturity samples—then sharing the results with our growers and post-harvest team. No prior experience? No worries! We provide full on-the-job training, so if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and dive in, you’re halfway there!

- Start dates are in March 2025 (with one role starting mid-March)
About You
- You’ve got a can-do attitude and a strong sense of humor (because let’s face it, the work gets a lot more fun when you can laugh!)
- Keen attention to detail – because who wants to miss a thing when fruit is involved?
- Team player who thrives on working together to get the job done
- Comfortable with computers and data entry (don't worry, we’ll help you if you’re not a tech whiz)
- If you’ve got experience with fruit maturity testing, great! If not, bring your enthusiasm to learn, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Why Apply?
In return, you’ll enjoy:
- A welcoming, supportive team environment
- On-the-job training from people who know their stuff
- A chance to gain hands-on experience in the exciting horticulture industry
