International HR & Remuneration Advisor
Help shape how we support our people across a growing global business.
T&G Global is growing, and so is the complexity of our people agenda. With teams across New Zealand, Asia and the Americas, we're looking for an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys getting into the detail, making sense of data and helping leaders make good people decisions.
This role sits at the intersection of remuneration, HR advisory and international people support. It's a great opportunity if you're someone who likes having a broad remit, enjoys working with numbers and spreadsheets as much as people, and wants to have a genuine influence on how things are done.
What you'll be doing
Remuneration will be a big part of your world. You'll help keep our pay frameworks and data in good shape, support remuneration reviews and use market information to help us make informed decisions across both salaried and waged populations.
You'll also:
Support strategic pay, salary banding and remuneration analysis across the business
Prepare modelling and analysis for remuneration reviews, salary increases and other pay-related activity
Work with market data to support pay decisions and provide insight to HR and leaders
Support our waged remuneration processes, including market rates, skills-based pay and annual reviews
Provide practical HR advice and support to our international teams across Asia and the Americas
Partner with managers on day-to-day people matters, employee changes, engagement and lower-level employee relations
Help navigate people queries across different countries, cultures and ways of working
Work alongside our People Direct team, HR Business Partners and international leaders to make sure people support is joined up
Bring ideas, structure and good practice to an evolving international HR environment
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who has a solid HR foundation but also enjoys the numbers side of people.
You might currently be an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor with strong remuneration exposure. Or perhaps you're in a remuneration or compensation role and have retained a genuine interest in broader HR. Either way, you'll be comfortable moving between a spreadsheet, a leader conversation and a people problem.
You'll ideally bring:
Experience working in HR with meaningful exposure to remuneration, compensation or reward
Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, modelling and analysis
An understanding of salary structures, bands, market data and remuneration reviews
Experience working across different employee populations, ideally including both salaried and waged employees
A practical, commercially minded approach to HR
The ability to interpret data and turn it into something useful for leaders
An interest in broader HR advisory work and partnering with managers
An appreciation that different countries and cultures need different approaches
Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
Experience in strategic pay or formal remuneration frameworks would be an advantage, but we can teach the right person the T&G way.
Why T&G?
This is a particularly interesting time to join us.
T&G has been growing and evolving for more than 125 years, but we're not standing still. Our people work across 13 countries, supporting customers in more than 60 markets, and our international footprint continues to grow.
That means there is plenty to get stuck into.
You'll have the opportunity to bring your own ideas and experience to a business where not everything is already neatly packaged up. If you've worked in a larger organisation with great HR and remuneration practices, we'd love you to bring some of that thinking with you.
At the same time, if you enjoy being close to the business, solving problems and building things rather than simply following a process, you'll have plenty of room to make your mark.
Most importantly, you'll be part of a team that is genuinely trying to build better ways of supporting our people as the business grows.
Growing healthier futures starts with our people.
Where you'll be based
We're open to where the right person is based. Auckland is an option, but we're also open to Hawke's Bay or potentially Singapore and other locations across Asia, depending on the experience you bring and how you can best support our international teams.
If you're someone who can bring strong remuneration thinking, sound HR judgement and a curiosity about how people practices work across different countries, we'd love to hear from you.
