Group Accountant

About the opportunity
We're looking for a Group Accountant to join our Group Reporting team based at our Global Hub in Ellerslie (Auckland). This is an exciting career opportunity to transition from professional services into an in-house, global accounting role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with all accounting standards for the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Assist with the monthly consolidations for the T&G Group.
- Perform variance analysis and resolve trial balance issues.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual and half-year financial reports.
- Assist with both internal and external financial reporting, including audit processes and reporting to our overseas parent company.
- Work on ad-hoc projects that support business growth and process improvement
About You:
- Degree qualified in Accounting.
- CA qualified or working towards it.
- 1-2 years of experience in Big 4 or a similar high-caliber accounting environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with multi-company consolidations and interpreting financial reports. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
