About the opportunity
We're looking for a Horticulture Field Representative to join T&G's apple supply and technical team. We're proud to partner with close to 40 independent orchardists throughout the Nelson region who grow T&G's premium apple brands, Envy™ and JAZZ™. In this hands-on, interactive role, you'll support the region's growers to produce world-class apples via sustainable, best-practice growing techniques, and strong, trusted relationships .
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the ongoing development of the Growing & Supply plan to ensure quality apple supply meets T&Gs global demand
- Complete all data collection, performance reporting, and GPS mapping, to create an accurate record of PVR varieties grown in the region, including trial blocks
- Build trusted relationships with growers in the region to ensure T&G adds value to their business
- Provide industry updates and systems training to growers to build their knowledge and capability
- Collaborate with T&G's Post-Harvest and Quality teams to foster a grower-focused culture
- Ensure administration of supply agreements, grower compliance, registrations, and accreditations are up-to-date and accurate
- Work with colleagues and partners on exciting R&D projects
- During the packing season, undertake packhouse and coolstore inspections, verify quality records, and identify non-compliance
- Proactively seek out opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives

About you
- Tertiary qualification in horticulture with prior experience in a growing, quality, and/or technical role
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive, collaborative style, enabling you to build relationships with ease
- Confident computer and data analysis skills
- Full NZ drivers licence as a company vehicle forms part of the salary package
